Actors Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana took centre stage at Lakmē Fashion Week in New Delhi on Saturday, serving as showstoppers for designer Manish Malhotra’s latest collection.
Held at the Taj Palace Hotel in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India, the showcase presented Malhotra’s ‘Luxury Prêt 2026’ collection. It marked his return to the Lakmē Fashion Week runway after nearly three and a half years.
The collection explored contemporary occasionwear through sculpted silhouettes, flowing drapes and metallic embellishments. Saris, long skirts, cropped jackets, off-shoulder tops and suits featured alongside modern interpretations of traditional bandhgalas.
The colour palette ranged from green and ivory to blue and pink.
Khan wore a strapless, floral-embellished top paired with a black draped skirt and scarf. She completed the look with emerald jewellery from Malhotra’s Fine Jewellery line. Khurrana opted for a black shirt and tailored jacket detailed with silver-toned embroidery, paired with sleek trousers.
Malhotra said the collection aimed to offer a new expression of glamour that feels contemporary while retaining the richness of Indian craftsmanship. The showcase also introduced his Menswear Luxe Prêt line, alongside occasionwear, fine jewellery and accessories.
The event featured Donn Bhat’s track ‘Ishq’ as models walked the runway. Khan and Khurrana are also set to share screen space in the upcoming film ‘Udta Teer’, scheduled for release on 23 October.
