The team behind Saiyaara celebrated the film’s first anniversary by unveiling a special collector’s edition vinyl LP at London’s Wembley Stadium, the iconic venue featured in one of the film’s most memorable moments.
According to Hindustan Times, lead actors Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda attended the launch of the exclusive edition, created to give fans and music lovers a complete audio experience of the blockbuster romance.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani, Saiyaara earned more than ₹580 crore (approximately $69 million) worldwide. The film is credited as the highest-grossing romantic film in Indian cinema.
Wembley Stadium holds special significance in the film. It is where Krish Kapoor, played by Panday, spots Vaani Batra, portrayed by Padda, on the giant stadium screen and recognises her by her eyes. The film’s climactic concert sequence was also shot at the venue.
The collector’s edition features two vinyl records. The first contains all nine songs from the soundtrack. The second includes 16 original background score compositions and nine of the film’s most memorable dialogue sequences.
The package also includes a Saiyaara diary featuring notes from director Mohit Suri, producer Akshaye Widhani, stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, along with music contributors Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, Arslan Nizami, Irshad Kamil, The Rish, Vishal Mishra, Raj Shekhar, Sachet-Parampara, Mithoon and John Stewart Eduri. Fans will also receive an ink pen inspired by Vaani’s notebook in the film and two character bookmarks featuring Krish and Vaani.
Widhani said Saiyaara marked Yash Raj Films’ return to the romance genre and that the team wanted to create not only a memorable film but also a timeless soundtrack. He described the vinyl edition as a keepsake that allows audiences to relive the film’s complete emotional journey.
Suri said music was “the soul of any love story” and credited the soundtrack with deepening the emotional connection between the lead characters. He added that the vinyl edition would allow audiences to revisit the film through its songs, score and dialogues, recreating its memories “one emotion, one melody and one memory at a time.”
The Saiyaara collector’s edition vinyl LP will be available worldwide.
