Sadio Mané shared a warm story about Bangladeshi expatriates in Saudi Arabia. He said this moment remains one of his favourite memories from his time there.

In an interview with Rio Ferdinand, Mané said, “To be honest, I was very surprised. The people here are incredibly warm.” He then recalled an evening in Ramadan. He was walking alone on the street when a few Bangladeshis invited him for iftar. Describing the moment, he said, “Jokingly I told them, ‘You don’t know me! How can I sit with you?’ But they said it was no problem. They surprised me by inviting me again.”

Ferdinand asked whether they had invited him because they recognised him. Mané replied, “They didn’t know who I was. Their generous hearts, their willingness to share food, and their culture of togetherness truly touched my heart.”

Mané also talked about Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. He said, “Ronaldo is a unique example for every footballer. I have never seen a player like him in my life.” He added, “He works hard every day and still carries the hunger to win at 40. He is a complete athlete. He arrives first at training and spreads a spirit of hard work throughout the team. There is no one like him.”
