Actor Sadie Sink has opened up about working with Tom Holland on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, saying the actor made her feel welcome as she joined the cast in a still-undisclosed role.
According to Deadline, Sink spoke about her experience in a recent interview with Nylon. She described the atmosphere on set as warm and supportive, adding that Holland helped her settle into the production despite being new to the franchise.
“It was interesting stepping into that space and being a little bit of an outsider in that way, but he could not have been more welcoming, and just the whole crew in general,” Sink said. “He was just so relaxed and open, and I felt very at ease.”
Sink’s character in the Marvel film remains under wraps. She admitted she had always known the Spider-Man franchise had a huge following, but said experiencing its scale firsthand had been eye-opening.
“I knew that Marvel was a big deal and had a big brand, especially Spider-Man,” she said. “I know there’s a huge fan base, but it feels really big. I think these blockbuster movies are a whole different beast.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker as he tries to rebuild his life after the world forgets his identity. The film sees him continuing his fight against crime while facing emotional challenges and new threats. It also teases the arrival of a powerful unseen villain.
The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Liza Colón-Zayas, Mark Ruffalo and Sadie Sink.
