Popular singers Sabbir Zaman and Shoron have paid tribute to legendary composer and music director Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul through BTV’s music programme The Music Legends.
Sabbir began his professional music career through Closeup One: Tomakei Khujchhe Bangladesh, while Shoron entered the industry through Channel i Sera Kantho.
They took part in the programme’s recording two days ago, performing songs composed by Bulbul.
Together, they sang ‘Je Prem Swargo Theke Eshe’, ‘Onek Sadhonar Pore Ami’, ‘Amar Buker Modhye Khane’ and ‘Tumi Mor Jiboner Bhabona’.
Sabbir performed ‘Porena Chokher Polok’ and ‘Amar Sharadeho Kheyo Go Mati’ solo, while Shoron sang ‘Ami Jayga Kinbo Kinbo Bole’ and ‘Tumi Amar Emoni Ekjon’.
Foad Nasser Babu served as music director, while Mohona hosted the programme.
Sabbir said he was pleased to honour Bulbul through music and praised the song selection. He also described Shoron’s voice as sweet and well suited to playback singing.
Shoron said Bulbul remains a source of pride for Bangladesh’s music industry through his compositions and creations. He added that they had tried their best to perform the songs properly.
The programme will air on BTV soon.
