Pakistani actor Saba Qamar has surprised fans by revealing that she once fell in love with a co-star from one of her films, although she has chosen to keep his identity private.
The actor made the rare admission during her first-ever meet-and-greet in London, organised by Creative Teams to raise funds for SKT Welfare.
Known for keeping her personal life largely out of the spotlight, Saba spoke about the relationship while interacting with the audience. She said the feelings developed around two to four years ago and involved a film actor who is now married.
“He’s married now. It feels really strange. It happened a long time ago. Well, maybe not that long ago, perhaps two or four years back. But I had a crush on him. I was in love with him. Maybe I fell in love with his character,” she said.
Saba made it clear that the man was not a television actor but someone she had worked with in a film.
“I’m not talking about a TV actor. I’m talking about a film actor,” she clarified.
The revelation led to some playful speculation during the event. Saba herself pointed out that her relatively limited filmography could make it easier for fans to work out who she meant.
“Oh shit, I’ve only done two or four films,” she said, drawing laughter from the audience.
The host then suggested searching her filmography online for possible clues. Saba immediately rejected the idea.
“No, skip that, please. Delete this. No one is going to use it,” she said with a laugh.
A video of the exchange later spread across social media, prompting fans to speculate about the unidentified actor. However, Saba has not named him, leaving the mystery unresolved.
The actor also reflected on how she eventually moved past the feelings. She treated the episode lightly and recalled a remark from her 14-year-old niece that helped put the situation into perspective.
“Yes, it happens. You end up liking people, but…” Saba said before sharing her niece’s humorous observation.
“I was fine after that. My 14-year-old niece told me, ‘Auntie, you were working in the jungle and there was no one around, that’s why your mind had gone crazy,’” she recalled.
Saba Qamar has built a prominent career across Pakistani television and cinema. Her film credits include Ghabrana Nahi Hai and Kamli, with the latter earning her the Lux Style Award for Best Film Actress in 2023.
Her television work includes Baaghi, Cheekh, Fraud, Mrs. & Mr. Shameem, Serial Killer, Case No. 9, Pamaal and Muamma. She also appeared in Khuda Gawah in 2026 and is set to headline HUM TV’s upcoming drama Hurmat.
