Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has expressed profound grief over the death of Rahatun Nesa Khanam, mother of ministry’s secretary Dr Farhina Ahmed.
In a condolence message, Rizwana Hasan offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended her deepest condolences to the grieving family.
Rahatun Nesa Khanam passed away on Monday morning while receiving treatment at the Government Employees Hospital in Dhaka.
She was 91. She had been battling various age-related health complications.
She is survived by one son, six daughters, and a wide circle of relatives, friends, and admirers who mourn her loss.
Following her funeral prayers (namaz-e-janaza), Rahatun Nesa Khanam will be laid to rest at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard in Mirpur.
The bereaved family has asked for prayers for the departed soul.
