President of the Gono Odhikar Parishad, Nurul Haque Nur, has returned home from the hospital.
On Monday, he was discharged from Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The matter was confirmed by the hospital’s director, Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman.
He informed that as Nurul Haque Nur’s physical condition has improved, he was discharged today in accordance with the medical board’s decision. He has left the hospital for home.
When asked about his physical condition while leaving the hospital, Nur said, “I am not yet fully recovered. I will go home for now. After that, I will seek treatment at another hospital abroad.”
Relatives stated that Nur is being taken to his home in the Rampura Metropolis Project area.
Previously, on the night of 29th August, Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur, General Secretary Rashed Khan, and at least 50 others were seriously injured in a baton charge by law enforcement agencies in Bijoynagar.
In critical condition, Nur was first taken to Islami Bank Hospital. Later that night, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
