Lyricist and playwright Rezaur Rahman Rizvi has released his eighth book, an essay collection titled Whisper of Ages, at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.
Published by Sadamata, the book is available at Stall No 80 of Dhrupodi Publications at the fair and is also being sold on online platforms including Rokomari.
The cover of the book has been designed by Apurba Khandakar.
Speaking about the release, Rezaur Rahman Rizvi said his previous book was published at the Ekushey Book Fair in 2021 and no new work had appeared during the past five years.
“With that hiatus now over, my eighth book, ‘Whisper of Ages’, has been released at this year’s book fair,” he said.
The author also expressed gratitude to director Walid Ahmed for supporting the publication process and helping bring the book to the fair.
Whisper of Ages contains 20 essays covering a range of subjects and includes references, data and contextual information that the author believes may be useful for researchers and students.
Rizvi said he hopes the essays will offer readers and researchers insights while encouraging thoughtful discussion on the themes explored in the collection.
