The country’s largest real estate exposition, REHAB Fair 2025, will begin on 24 December, 2025, at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Agargaon, Dhaka, and will continue until 27 December.
A total of 220 stalls will be set up at this year’s fair. REHAB has facilitated participation from four diamond sponsors, seven gold sponsors, 10 co-sponsors, 14 building materials companies and 12 financial institutions, according to a press release.
The details were shared at a press conference held last Thursday afternoon at the CIRDAP Auditorium, where REHAB President Md Wahiduzzaman briefed journalists. Senior Vice President Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, Vice President-2 and REHAB Fair Committee Chairman Mohammad Aktar Biswas later responded to questions from the media.
Among others present at the press conference were Vice President Lion MA Awal (former MP), Vice President (Finance) Abdur Razzak, Director and Chairman of the Press and Media Standing Committee Muhammad Labib Billah, Director and Fair Standing Committee Co-Chairman Miraj Moktadir and Suruj Sardar.
REHAB Directors Md Mobarak Hossain, Engr Md Mohsin Mia, Lion Dewan Nasirul Haque, Md Kamrul Islam, Miya Selim Raja Pintoo, Dr Harun Or Rashid, Md Morshedul Hasan, Md Ayub Ali, Sheikh Kamal and other REHAB leaders were also present.
Speaking at the event, the REHAB president said the association has been working as a major partner of the government in infrastructural development. With the goal of ensuring safe housing for the present and future generations, REHAB member companies have been working tirelessly for more than three decades.
He noted that owning an apartment in Dhaka or elsewhere is not only about having a place to live, but also about social standing and future investment, according to a press release.
He said real estate developers want to create housing with modern facilities for all citizens and stressed that opportunities must be provided in a non-discriminatory and fair manner.
Highlighting broader economic issues, he said many long-standing complexities and disparities have been addressed in the new Detailed Area Plan (DAP) and the Dhaka Metropolitan Building Construction Rules 2025.
He expressed hope that the new DAP and regulations would restore confidence among real estate developers and ensure long-term stability in the housing sector.
The REHAB president also expressed optimism about increased visitor turnout, as the fair will be held during a three-day public holiday. He said the fair is not merely an exhibition, but a trusted platform that directly connects buyers and developers.
According to him, comparing project quality, location, facilities and investment potential of so many companies in one place is almost impossible outside the REHAB Fair.
Visitors will not only have the opportunity to buy flats or plots, but also to explore home loan facilities, financial institutions and modern, high-quality construction materials. This will enable interested buyers to make all major housing-related decisions in one place.
REHAB has been organizing housing fairs in Dhaka since 2001, and this year marks its 27th fair in the capital. The association has also successfully held 16 fairs in Chattogram. Since 2004, REHAB has been organizing housing fairs abroad and has so far held 12 fairs in the United States, one each in the United Kingdom, Dubai, Rome (Italy), Canada, Sydney and Qatar, and two fairs in Dubai.
Through these initiatives, REHAB has continued efforts to expand the housing market at home and abroad, enabling expatriate buyers to find preferred housing in Bangladesh and contributing to foreign currency inflow.
The fairs have also played a significant role in strengthening the national economy and developing the housing and linkage industries, according to a press release.
