A new electric vehicle, the “Ranger Reev”, was unveiled in Dhaka on Sunday, promising a driving range of over 700 kilometres thanks to its dual-fuel capability.
The executive SUV was introduced by MRM Ventures Ltd., a sister concern of MA Enterprise, at its second showroom, ‘Me Gallery’, in Tejgaon. The vehicle is brought to Bangladesh by China’s renowned automotive brand FODAY.
The Ranger Reev is a Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) designed for everyday commuting. It offers a fully electric range of up to 160 km and an octane range of up to 540 km, providing drivers with flexibility for both city travel and long journeys.
The SUV produces 120 kW of power and 320 Newton metres of torque, accelerating from zero to 100 km in just 10.2 seconds.
“The Ranger Reev has been designed with safety and comfort in mind alongside performance,” said Md Mohtasim Al Rafid, managing director of MRM Ventures Ltd., at the unveiling. The vehicle is equipped with the industry-standard FinDreams blade battery and features a spacious, modern cabin with a 12-inch infotainment display and sunroof.
Available in six colours – Fox Snow White, Champions Silver, Diamond Silver, Reluset, Sea Blue, and Power Black – the Ranger Reev is priced at an estimated Tk55 lakh.
The car comes with an attractive warranty package: Six years or 120,000 kilometres for the traction battery, six years or 130,000 kilometres for the motor, and up to five years for the complete vehicle. The first 50 customers placing orders will benefit from free registration.
The unveiling was attended by Board of Advisors Engr. Abul Khayer, Sheikh Md. Mahbub E Rabbani, H M Sohel, Head of HR & Admin Abu Taher, Service Incharge Engr. Arifur Rahman, and Head of Marketing Munirul Islam, alongside media representatives, corporate stakeholders, and automobile enthusiasts.
MRM Ventures continues to expand Bangladesh’s EV portfolio, having previously added JMEV Brand’s Elight Sedan, which can cover 500 km on a single charge, and BAW Brand’s four-seater, five-door Mini EVs—BAGEL and PUDDING—which offer a range of 220 km per charge.
