Actor and television personality Rakhi Sawant has come out in support of Ranveer Singh amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his reported exit from Don 3 and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) stance against the actor.
According to the Hindustan Times, the fallout over Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3 continues to escalate, with FWICE maintaining its position and triggering fresh debate within the Bollywood industry.
During a recent interaction with paparazzi in Mumbai, Rakhi Sawant spoke about the dispute and strongly defended Ranveer Singh, saying he faces unfair targeting and jealousy from within the industry.
Rakhi also criticised filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, alleging that he used Ranveer’s name to remain in the spotlight amid the controversy.
While speaking to the media, she said she condemned the move against Ranveer Singh and expressed anger over what she described as a “ban”.
She claimed Ranveer Singh achieved success through hard work, alongside actress Deepika Padukone, and said both built their careers independently.
Rakhi further said that if anyone had the courage, they should try taking action against Salman Khan, adding that he would respond strongly. She also said Ranveer faced jealousy due to his consecutive successful films.
She repeated her criticism of FWICE, alleging the body targeted Ranveer because of his popularity and success.
Rakhi also commented on Farhan Akhtar, saying he had not achieved major success as an actor in his own films and was now using Ranveer’s name for publicity.
The remarks have added further attention to the ongoing dispute surrounding Don 3 and Ranveer Singh’s reported exit from the project.
