A new sports programme will begin across Bangladesh on April 30. It is called “Notun Kuri Sports.” The goal is to bring young people into sports and find talent from every district.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will launch the programme in Sylhet District Stadium. This will be his first visit to Sylhet after taking office. The programme will also start at the same time in all 64 districts.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque shared the plan on Wednesday after visiting the stadium. He said the launch will go ahead if all stays on track.

The programme will include seven sports. Football and cricket are part of it. The aim is simple. It wants to get more young people to play sports and grow talent from the grassroots.

The minister also spoke about schools. He said there is a plan to make sports part of study from Class Four. Talented players will get scholarships. A sports allowance has already started. Around 500 players will get this support in steps.

He raised concern about the stadium. He said past work had many problems. The current condition shows that. Officials have been told to fix it quickly.

Tarique Rahman began his election campaign from Sylhet on January 21. He later won the election on February 12 and became Prime Minister.
