Prime Bank PLC has organised a seminar titled “Financial Inclusion: Engaging & Inspiring Youth in Banking” at Khulna University under its flagship PrimeAcademia initiative.
According to the press release, the event aimed to equip young people with practical knowledge of banking, financial literacy, and money management. Organised in collaboration with the Khulna University Career Club, the “Empowering Youth Season 2.0” session focused on financial inclusion, responsible money management, informed financial decision-making, saving habits, and career planning.
Khulna University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Rezaul Karim attended the programme as chief guest. Highlighting the opportunities created by advances in information technology, he encouraged students to make the most of emerging opportunities in higher education, research, and career development. He also appreciated the Khulna University Career Club and Prime Bank for organising the session.
Prime Bank Senior Vice-President and Head of Financial Inclusion & School Banking MM Mahbub Hasan delivered the keynote on financial literacy and smart money management. He discussed healthy financial habits, balancing income and expenses, regular savings, informed financial decisions, and long-term financial discipline.
He also introduced his “Grandfather Concept of Personal Money Management” and highlighted Prime Bank’s 31-year journey and the evolving expectations and opportunities of the younger generation in banking.
Khulna University Student Affairs Director Prof Dr Md Salauddin attended as special guest. He stressed the need for more customer-friendly and effective initiatives in the banking sector and said such programmes can help students better understand the workplace and financial sector while preparing for their future careers.
Prime Bank Vice President and Head of Talent Acquisition & OD Monowara Khatun conducted a mock interview session with students. Vice President and Regional Head (South) Mostafa Mhamud delivered the opening remarks.
The programme also featured a career adda and question-and-answer session. Outstanding participants were recognised with prizes from Prime Bank.
Khulna University Career Club President Ruhul Amin Munna delivered the closing remarks.
