Tollywood actress Pooja Banerjee has become a mother for the second time, welcoming a baby girl on Friday (14 August).
Pooja shared the news with her fans on social media. Soon after her daughter’s birth, she posted a video featuring moments from her pregnancy journey and glimpses of her newborn. “First glimpse of my daughter,” she wrote in the caption.
The announcement drew congratulatory messages from her industry colleagues, relatives and fans, who wished the actress and her baby well.
Pooja also revealed that the family will hold her daughter’s naming ceremony 40 days after her birth, following Punjabi traditions.
Earlier, on Mother’s Day on 10 May, Pooja held her baby shower. Photos from the celebration showed the actress holding a doll, offering fans a glimpse of the family’s excitement ahead of the baby’s arrival.
Pooja announced her second pregnancy on 21 April through a video on her YouTube channel. In the video, she appeared holding a pregnancy test kit. She and her actor husband Kunal Verma shared their excitement about starting another chapter as parents.
Pooja and Kunal married in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The couple welcomed their first child, son Krishiv, later that year.
