Police recovered two bomb-like objects from the entrances of two separate houses in Gangni upazila of Meherpur on Wednesday morning.
Members of the Bhabanipur police camp recovered the objects after being alerted by local residents.
According to police and locals, unidentified individuals placed the objects, wrapped in black tape, at the entrances of the houses belonging to Nazimuddin and Imdadul Huq in Naodapara village under the darkness of night.
Family members discovered the items while leaving their homes in the morning and informed the police afterwards.
Mahaddis Morshed Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gangni Police Station, said that the bomb-like objects were placed in water filled buckets and taken into police custody.
He also that police are actively working to identify the individuals who placed the objects and to hold them accountable for creating panic in the area.
