Police recovered two severed hands and a leg near Baitul Mukarram Mosque and Scout Bhaban in Paltan early on Saturday.
Paltan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafa Kamal Khan confirmed the matter. Officers recovered the leg at around 2am on Saturday, while the two severed hands were found on the morning.
Through fingerprint analysis, the police identified the deceased as a man named Obaidullah.
Investigators confirmed that Obaidullah was a resident of Shibpur Upazila in Narsingdi. Police have sent the recovered body parts to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination. Operations are being conducted to recover the remaining parts of the body.
