Prime Minister Tarique Rahman exchanged greetings with children after performing Jummah prayers at the Naval Headquarters Central Mosque in Banani on Friday.

The Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, confirmed that the prime minister offered his prayers at this mosque, as he has done since returning from London. His wife, Zubaida Rahman, also performed her prayers in the designated section for women.

As he was leaving the mosque, Tarique spent time with the children, enquiring after their well-being. During the interaction, a child innocently asked, “Uncle, do you fast?”

One child greeted him with “Assalamu Alaikum” and shared that they had observed every fast except for that day. Another child mentioned keeping all the fasts, prompting the prime minister to pat their head and remark, “Very good.”

The interaction created a joyful atmosphere as the children expressed their excitement at meeting the prime minister in person. Before departing, Tarique was joined by Zubaida Rahman.

As he bid them “Allah Hafez,” the children requested, “Uncle, please pray for us.” Tarique waved to the children before heading towards his vehicle.
