A woman gave birth to three baby girls through a caesarean section at a private clinic in Pirojpur’s Nesarabad upazila on Thursday evening.
The newborns were delivered at Seba Private Hospital in Indurhat, where both the mother and the infants were reported to be in stable condition.
The mother, Nusrat Jahan, 22, is currently under observation along with the three babies, according to hospital authorities.
Seba Private Hospital proprietor Md Mainul Islam Asim said the mother and the newborns have been kept under intensive observation and remain stable. The surgery was conducted by child health and gynaecology specialist Dr Pritish Kumar Biswas.
He said the procedure was complex but completed successfully, and both the mother and the babies are in good health. The father, Shariful Islam Ujjwal, said he is happy after becoming the father of three daughters at once.
The news of the triplet birth has spread quickly in the area, drawing attention and excitement among locals.
