A new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran could be held as early as Thursday, according to reports citing US officials and a diplomat from a mediating country.
While both sides have agreed in principle to resume the talks, the venue has not yet been finalised. Islamabad is being considered once again, though Geneva has also emerged as a strong potential location, reports Middle East Eye.
Since the meeting in Islamabad, the US has remained in contact with mediators, with Pakistan facilitating the exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington.
