Nearly 50,000 dual citizens from countries including the United States and Russia allegedly took part in the Gaza genocide on behalf of the Israeli military, according to UK-based media outlet Declassified UK.
The report says the largest group among those accused is Israeli-Americans.
The information was obtained through a Freedom of Information request to the IDF, filed by lawyer Elad Man of the NGO Hatzlacha.
The data details the number of IDF service members holding dual or multiple nationalities as of March 2025.
It reveals that 1,686 British-Israelis, along with 383 individuals holding British, Israeli, and an additional nationality, served in the IDF during the Gaza assault.
They were part of more than 50,000 soldiers with Israeli citizenship and at least one other nationality.
Previously, only figures on “lone soldiers”—Britons without Israeli citizenship serving in the IDF—were available, a number as low as 54.
The report further notes that 6,400 French citizens were involved in atrocities against Palestinians. In addition, over 5,000 Russian-Israelis and more than 4,000 German-Israelis have been accused of participating in the Gaza massacre. Large numbers of citizens from Ukraine, Britain, Poland, and other European countries are also said to have joined Israel’s aggression.
Among European nations critical of Israel, Spain has drawn particular attention. Over 400 Spanish dual citizens reportedly took part in the Gaza massacre. Meanwhile, more than 500 South Africans—despite their country filing a case against Israel at the International Criminal Court—are accused of having Palestinian blood on their hands.
Dual citizens from Brazil, Australia, Argentina, and dozens of other countries also allegedly joined the assault.
While many of these countries have criticised Israel’s brutality against Palestinians, they have taken no visible action against their own citizens accused of involvement.
