More than 500 patients were provided with free medical services and medicines at a camp organised by the voluntary organisation “We Can Change” in Nalchity, Jhalakathi.

The programme was held on Friday at Ranapasha Secondary School premises in Nalchity upazila.

The medical camp, which commenced in the morning and continued until the afternoon, offered consultations from a range of experts, including paediatric medicine and surgery specialists, ophthalmologists, medicine specialists, and nutritionists.

Dr Khalid Mahmud Shakil, chairman of the organisation said the initiative was undertaken to deliver essential healthcare services directly to the doorsteps of underprivileged and common people in rural areas.

He expressed his hope that the organisation will be able to continue such humanitarian activities in the future.

Residents welcomed the initiative, noting that they benefited significantly from receiving specialist medical care free of charge.
