The One One Foundation and Medsys Soft have officially commenced their operations in Bangladesh, aiming to bolster health education, literacy, rights awareness, and employment creation.
The US-based service-oriented organisation held a vibrant ceremony on Thursday evening at the China-Friendship International Conference Center in the capital to mark the inauguration. The foundation’s primary objectives include youth development, women’s empowerment, climate-environment conservation, and human resource development.
Former Minister for Water Resources and Religious Affairs and veteran politician, Nazim Uddin Al Azad, attended the event as the chief guest, while One One Foundation Chairman Ruhul Amin presided over the proceedings.
Addressing the gathering, speakers called upon the youth to focus on nation-building by establishing unity down to the grassroots level. The organisers highlighted that the foundation intends to provide civic rights and legal awareness, prepare the unemployed population for the workforce, and ensure the morality, leadership, and skills of the youth society.
The event saw participation from several distinguished individuals, including Dr Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Dr Azizullah M. Nuruzzaman, Abu Yusuf Jobayer Ullah, Advocate Md Shafiqur Rahman, and Engineer Ali Azam. Also present were One One Foundation Executive Director Habibur Rahman, Director Jannatul Ferdousi, and Dr Nahid Afrin Nisa.
Beyond direct service, the organisation plans to provide policy-making assistance through development research, focusing on the economic and social empowerment of women and improving the health knowledge of marginal populations.
