Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence on Tuesday issued an emergency alert warning of a “potential danger” in Abha, a city in the southwestern Asir province near the Red Sea.
The warning came only hours after a fresh attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, which left at least one person dead.
No immediate indication was given as to whether the two incidents were connected.
However, the authority withdrew the warning just two minutes later, announcing that the threat had passed, reports Al Jazeera.
It did not provide any further details regarding the nature of the danger or what prompted the alert.
