Although less active in films in recent years, Dhallywood actor Omar Sani continues to engage with current affairs on social media.
From politics and sports to rising living costs, the veteran actor regularly shares his views, often drawing both praise and criticism.
On Sunday (27 July), Omar Sani invited those who comment on his Facebook posts—whether positively or negatively—to meet him in person.
In a post shared on his verified Facebook page, he wrote: “Those who leave good and bad comments, please come to my office. Let’s see what you have to say. Please come.”
He also shared his office address, identifying it as Goldsands Group in Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka.
The post quickly sparked mixed reactions online.
While some users praised his willingness to engage directly with people, others expressed differing opinions on the move.
Omar Sani made his big-screen debut in 1992 with Ei Niye Songsar, directed by Noor Hossain Bolai.
However, it was the 1993 hit Chander Alo that established him as a leading man.
Throughout the 1990s, he starred in several commercially successful films, including Dola, Coolie, Atma Ahongkar, Aparadhi and Maha Nayak.
After returning to acting in 2013 following a long hiatus, he has also built a successful career as a businessman, operating restaurants and other ventures in Dhaka.
