Train communications on the Rohanpur-Rajshahi route have been suspended after four wagons of an oil-carrying train derailed at Amnura Junction in Chapainawabganj early Thursday.
The train, which departed from Khulna, was transporting fuel for a 50 MW power plant located in the Amnura Junction area.
The incident occurred around 4:30am, just a few hundred yards from the entrance of the power plant.
As a result of the accident, three trains remain stranded on the Rohanpur-Rajshahi route.
