All government and private offices, including banks, insurance companies, and capital market institutions, will resume operations on Monday following a seven-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Adha.
The government had declared holidays from 25 to 31 May, which, combined with the weekend, gave employees a full week off.
Millions of workers are expected to return to their workplaces starting tomorrow. While some banks operated on a limited scale before Eid, all banks will resume normal services.
The flow of people returning to the capital has increased after the holidays, with commuters travelling from across the country by road, rail, and waterways. Consequently, traffic on major roads in Dhaka is gradually picking up.
