Nuvista Pharma has adopted GP Shield, a DNS-layer cybersecurity solution from Grameenphone (GP), as businesses step up efforts to protect digital operations from growing cyber threats.
Under the partnership, Nuvista Pharma will deploy GP Shield across its workforce to secure internet access and strengthen protection against phishing, malware and ransomware attacks, GP said in a statement on Monday.
The move reflects rising demand for preventive cybersecurity systems as organisations increasingly shift operations, communications and data management to digital platforms.
GP Shield operates at the Domain Name System layer, filtering malicious domains and suspicious traffic before threats can reach end users, helping companies reduce exposure to cyberattacks while maintaining uninterrupted operations.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at Nuvista Pharma head office by GP Chief Business Officer Asif Naimur Rashid and Nuvista Pharma Executive Director Mohammad Ashfaque Uddin.
“In an increasingly digital world, ensuring cybersecurity is essential,” Rashid said, adding that Grameenphone aims to help businesses operate securely and confidently through GP Shield.
He said the partnership would help Nuvista stay ahead of evolving cyber risks while strengthening a broader culture of digital safety.
Ashfaque Uddin said protecting workforce data and digital operations had become increasingly important as the pharmaceutical company expands its digital footprint.
“GP Shield will help our workforce mitigate evolving cyber risks while maintaining seamless business operations,” he said.
Senior officials attending the signing ceremony included GP Head of Prime Accounts Arvid Chowdhury, Head of Prime Accounts 1 Nabeelah Enayet Prova, Head of Prime Accounts 2 Md Rajib Khan and Strategic Account Manager Fiza Ferdous alongside Nuvista Pharma General Manager for Commercial Hassan Shahidullah Chowdhury, IT Manager Nazmus Saquib and Senior Deputy Manager for Marketing Saiham Ahmed Bin Halim.
