NRBC Bank PLC has approved its unaudited financial statements for the first quarter of 2026, showing significant growth across key performance indicators. The approval was made at the 236th Board Meeting held on 12 May at the Bank’s Head Office in Dhaka.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman Md Ali Hossain Prodhania, and attended by various other senior officials, including Risk Management Committee Chairman Md Nurul Haque, Audit Committee Chairman Muhammad Emdad Ullah FCA, FCMA, and Independent Directors Md Abul Bashar, Md Anwar Hossain, and Barrister Md Shafiqur Rahman, along with Managing Director & CEO Md Touhidul Alam Khan FCMA, CFO Rasedul Islam FCA, FCMA, and Acting Company Secretary Md Firoz Ahmed.

The bank reported a substantial increase in its Earnings Per Share (EPS). On a solo basis, EPS rose to Tk0.167 for the period ended 31 March 2026, compared to Tk0.062 during the same period of 2025. On a consolidated basis, EPS stood at Tk0.130, up from Tk0.080 in the first quarter of 2025.

The bank also reported a significant improvement in its Net Operating Cash Flow Per Share (NOCFPS). Solo NOCFPS surged to BDT 0.865, compared to a negative Tk5.468 in the same period of the previous year. Consolidated NOCFPS stood at Tk0.625, against negative Tk5.631 in the corresponding period of 2025.

As of 31 March 2026, the bank’s Net Asset Value (NAV) on a solo basis was Tk1,385.69 crore, with NAV per share of Tk16.72. On a consolidated basis, NAV stood at Tk1,404.17 crore, with NAV per share of Tk16.95.

According to the bank, the increase in EPS was driven by growth in investment income and a reduction in provision expenses. Additionally, higher investment income and a reduction in loans contributed to the improvement in cash flow, the bank said in a press statement.
