NRB Bank PLC has appointed Kimiwa Saddat as Additional Managing Director and Chief Business Officer and promoted Anwar Uddin to Additional Managing Director, effective 29 July.
Saddat joins NRB Bank with more than 23 years of experience across corporate and SME banking, structured finance, offshore banking, trade services, cash management, agent banking, recovery, lease finance and Islamic banking.
He previously served as Managing Director and CEO (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh and as Deputy Managing Director of Meghna Bank, leading business growth, digital transformation, governance, operations, Islamic banking, marketing and transformation initiatives.
He has also held senior positions at HSBC Bangladesh, The City Bank, Eastern Bank and GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Ltd.
Anwar Uddin, who joined NRB Bank as Deputy Managing Director, has been promoted after nearly four decades in banking.
He began his career at NCC Bank in 1987 and later served as Deputy Managing Director of Southeast Bank, working across corporate banking, credit, international trade, risk and strategic management, regulatory compliance, AML and CFT, human resources, training, corporate relations and risk-management strategies.
