Chowdhury Mohammed Hanif Shoeb has recently been unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank PLC at the 49th meeting of the bank’s Board of Directors.
Shoeb is an entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in Bangladesh’s textile and real estate sectors. He currently serves as Chairman of Salma Group, a diversified business conglomerate with a presence in Bangladesh’s textile, trading and real estate sectors, said a press release on Saturday.
He serves as a Director of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association and is a Lifetime Member of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
Shoeb is also associated with Dabir Sohani Suraiya Foundation, a non-profit charitable initiative of Salma Group, which provides financial assistance to underprivileged and meritorious students of the University of Dhaka and extends support to disadvantaged individuals and communities.
