The upcoming recruitment examination for head teacher and assistant head teacher posts under the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA), scheduled for April 18, will proceed as planned following a court ruling.

The Chamber Judge Court of the Appellate Division on Thursday stayed a High Court order that had earlier suspended the examination, effectively clearing the way for the test to be held on Saturday.

Appellate Division Chamber Judge Justice Md Rezaul Haque issued the order, restoring the schedule of the recruitment examination.

The order was issued after a preliminary hearing by a bench comprising Justice Akram Hossain Chowdhury and Justice AFM Syedul Karim.

Following the High Court directive, the state filed an appeal seeking a stay, which was subsequently heard by the Chamber Judge Court. The court then suspended the High Court order.

According to the recruitment circular issued on 29 January, applications were invited for head teacher and assistant head teacher posts in 13,559 educational institutions, including schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical institutes across the country.

The initial eligibility requirement set 10 to 15 years of teaching experience. However, amendments were later made to the manpower structure and MPO policy after the application process began, revising the requirement to 18 years of experience for all headmaster and assistant headmaster posts.
