Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam has stated that the 13th National Parliament election will be held in the first half of February next year, as announced by the interim government.
He said, “No force in the world can stop the vote. Preparations have been made for that.”
This directive was given at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus on Sunday regarding the country’s law and order situation.
After the meeting, the press secretary informed journalists that the chief adviser has instructed the local administration to actively control the law-and-order situation nationwide to ensure the upcoming election is free, fair, and impartial.
Regarding the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election, Shafiqul Alam said, “The chief adviser has instructed to provide full cooperation to the university administration so that the Ducsu election can be held in a peaceful and festive environment.”
