Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh Yousef Saleh Ramadan has held a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting took place at the Ameer’s office in Bashundhara on Sunday at noon.
At the beginning of the meeting, the ambassador inquired about the Ameer’s health and prayed for his full recovery.
Speaking on the topic of Palestine, the Jamaat Ameer said, “We have had a heartfelt relationship with Palestine before, and this bond will remain eternal.” He strongly condemned and protested the horrific plans of the occupying Israeli forces to displace Palestinians.
Present with the Jamaat Ameer were the party’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Assistant Secretary General Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council member and North Dhaka Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin, and the Ameer’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr Mahmudul Hasan.
