A garment worker was killed when an autorickshaw hit her in Shyampur area of Dhaka early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Dina Begum, a resident of Police Line Tagarpur under Fatullah Police Station in Narayanganj, said Inspector Md Faruk, in‑charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp.
He added that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Witnesses said the accident occurred around 12:30am on the Dhaka Highway. An autorickshaw struck Dina, leaving her critically injured on the road.
Locals rescued her and took her to the DMCH, where doctors declared her dead.
