The Pokémon Company has offered another glimpse into Pokémon Pokopia, showcasing several new creature variants ahead of its launch on March 5, 2026.
The cosy life-simulation title casts players as a Ditto in human form, tasked with building a peaceful utopia where humans and Pokémon can live side by side.
Pokopia already stands out thanks to its unusual premise, this human-shaped Ditto not only mimics appearance but adopts many human traits.
A recent website update and trailer reveal that it won’t be the only Pokémon with a fresh look in this idyllic settlement, with four new variants teased at the end of the extended footage.
Most Pokémon arriving in Pokopia will be familiar faces, but these new forms add a touch of intrigue. Peakychu is a pale, faintly glowing twist on Pikachu, sporting drooping ears and an almost spectral look while still crackling with electricity.
Mosslax resembles an overgrown shrub, a Snorlax blanketed in moss and crowned with a flower. Smearguru is a vibrant reimagining of Smeargle, splattered head to toe in colourful paint.
No Pokémon adventure is complete without a resident Professor and in a world seemingly lacking humans, the role falls to a Pokémon instead.
Professor Tangrowth, a curious yet endearing figure, has been living alone in the abandoned city and has adopted various human tools into its appearance.
It’s the first companion we meet besides our Ditto protagonist and will guide players as they rebuild the rundown settlement into a thriving habitat.
