Devastating floods along the China-Nepal border have killed at least 1,225 people, while 4,757 others remain missing, according to state media reports released on Wednesday, exactly a week after the disaster.

In Nepal, the disaster authority confirmed that at least 1,204 people were killed in the disaster, with 4,216 still missing, reports AFP.

Meanwhile, across the border in Tibet, Chinese state media reported that 21 people were killed and 541 remain missing.

The updated figures bring the total toll from the devastating disaster to 1,225 confirmed dead and 4,757 missing.
