In the wake of actor Zaher Alvi’s recent controversial posts, neighbour Rimu Roja Khandaker has added further fuel to the ongoing controversy.
On Saturday at 11:07 am, Rimu shared an open letter on Facebook addressing Alvi directly, making a series of serious allegations against him and actress Iffat Ara Tithi.
Rimu, who lives in the Mirpur DOHS area, claimed to have observed Alvi and Iqra’s family closely over time. She described instances where Iqra cared for Alvi during illness and questioned Alvi’s actions, suggesting he may have pursued Tithi while Iqra was married to someone else.
The post also raised concerns about Alvi’s alleged gambling and romantic affairs, contrasting this with previous claims about Iqra’s personal conduct.
In her post, Rimu accused Alvi and Tithi of being seen together in multiple locations, including Pubail, 300 Feet and Mawa. She claimed that when Tithi was warned about these encounters, she expressed that she enjoyed the attention.
Rimu also alleged that cameraman Sahil Rony had previously married and divorced multiple times, including a marriage to Tithi, highlighting a pattern of personal turmoil.
The accusations extended to Tithi’s family, with Rimu suggesting serious moral lapses. She claimed that Tithi’s father made inappropriate proposals and that her mother had extramarital relations. Rimu also stated that Iqra had been pressured to invite Tithi to Alvi’s birthday last year out of concern for potential family disputes.
Rimu further speculated that Alvi’s limited attention to Iqra before her death may have prompted her to find solace in other men. She warned that viral attention should not be equated with truth and expressed concern that Tithi’s family might misuse their influence to harm her or others.
