The National Consensus Commission (NCC) has held another meeting with experts regarding recommendations on the ways and means for implementing the July National Charter 2025. The meeting was held today in the conference room of the Commission’s office at the National Parliament.

Present as experts were retired Justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, MA Matin, and Barrister Imran Siddique. Among the experts, retired Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Dhaka University, Mohammad Ikramul Haque, and Senior Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, Dr. Sharif Bhuiyan, participated virtually.

The meeting reviewed various recommendations for implementing the Charter. Alongside, there was extensive discussion on the advice received from the experts. Regarding these matters, the NCC will hold an internal meeting tomorrow morning and will again sit for discussions with the experts at 2pm.

Participating on behalf of the Commission in the discussion were Vice Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, members Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Safar Raj Hossain, and Dr Mohammad Ayub Mia. Additionally, the Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant, Monir Haider, who is involved in the national consensus-building process, was also present at this time.
