NCC Bank’s Shari’ah Supervisory Committee reviewed and approved a range of deposit and investment products and services under its Islamic banking operations at its 10th meeting held recently at the boardroom of NCC Bank Bhaban in Dhaka, according to a press release.
The meeting was chaired by Dr HM Shahidul Islam Barakati, chairman of the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee. NCC Bank Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Salim and Director and Executive Committee Chairman Khairul Alam Chaklader attended the session alongside senior bank officials and committee members.
Committee members Dr Md Anwar Hossain Molla and Dr Muhammad Shahjahan Madani were also present.
Managing Director M Shamsul Arefin attended the meeting along with Additional Managing Director M Khurshed Alam, Deputy Managing Directors Md Zakir Anam, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman and Md Habibur Rahman, and Executive Vice President and Shari’ah Secretary Abul Quasem Md Safiullah.
The committee reviewed various deposit and investment products and services offered under NCC Islamic Banking and approved them after examining their compliance with Shari’ah principles, the bank said in a press release.
The meeting forms part of the bank’s ongoing oversight process for its Islamic banking operations and Shari’ah-compliant financial products.
