Dhallywood actress Moushumi has received a US green card after living in the country for nearly three years, marking a significant step towards settling there permanently.
The actress moved to the United States in 2023 and has remained there since. She confirmed receiving the green card while attending an event on Saturday, local time.
News of the development has delighted her fans, many of whom have congratulated the actress through social media posts.
Moushumi reportedly faced restrictions on travelling between Bangladesh and the United States while her green card application was being processed. With the process now complete, she can live in the United States as a permanent resident.
A US green card grants its holder lawful permanent resident status. Eligible holders may also apply for American citizenship later, provided they meet the required residency and immigration conditions.
