Morocco and Haiti are locked at 2-2 at halftime after an exciting first half in their final Group C match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Haiti made a bright start and took the lead. The goal was first given to Joseph but was later changed to an own goal by Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
Morocco found the equaliser in the 39th minute. Achraf Hakimi finished from close range after Brahim Diaz sent a dangerous ball into the box. Haiti players appealed for handball, but the goal stood after a VAR check.
Haiti hit back before the break with a brilliant strike from Isidor. He controlled the ball outside the box and smashed his shot into the top corner to restore Haiti’s lead.
Morocco answered quickly. Hakimi reached the byline and pulled the ball back into the area. Brahim Diaz let it run and Ismael Saibari calmly guided his shot into the bottom corner deep into first half added time.
The draw keeps Morocco in a strong position to reach the knockout stage. However, they need a better second half if they want to finish above Brazil and top Group C. Haiti, already out of the tournament, have produced an impressive display and pushed Morocco all the way.
