Premier Bank PLC has appointed Md Monzur Mofiz as managing director for three years, effective 16 April following board approval and clearance from Bangladesh Bank.
The bank said he had been serving as managing director in current charge since 14 December 2025.
Premier Bank Chairman Arifur Rahman said Md Monzur Mofiz brings extensive banking experience and is expected to strengthen the bank’s position and support sustainable growth.
Md Monzur Mofiz has more than three decades of experience in the banking sector, having started his career in 1993 at Sonali Bank.
He later served as managing director of ONE Bank and held senior roles at Dutch-Bangla Bank, The City Bank, AB Bank and Sonali Bank.
His expertise includes corporate banking, fund management, retail and SME deposit growth, and agent banking, the bank said.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and an MBA in finance from the Institute of Business Administration at the University of Dhaka.
The board said it expects the bank to achieve its strategic goals under his leadership.
