Bangladesh national cricketers will take part in a practice match on Saturday to fine-tune preparations ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Pakistan. The match is scheduled for 7 March at 2:15 pm at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The BCB XI, captained by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, will include several promising players such as SM Meherob, Ruel Mia, and Amite Hasan. The team also features core members of the Pakistan series squad, with Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Nahid Rana in the pace attack and Rishad Hossain leading the spin department.

Several national squad members will also play for the BCL All-Stars XI, including Soumya Sarkar, Mahidul Islam Ankon, and spinner Tanvir Islam. Soumya is expected to open alongside Naim Sheikh. Other standout performers from the Bangladesh Cricket League include Mahfizul Islam Robin, Ripon Mondal, Khaled Ahmed, Jisan Alam, and Abdul Gaffar Saklain.

Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, returning to domestic cricket via the BCL, has earned a place in the All-Stars XI following notable performances with the bat. The practice match will be led by Akbar Ali.

Earlier on 5 March, BCB announced the ODI squad for the Pakistan series. Afif Hossain returns to the national team after one and a half years, rewarded for consistent performances in domestic cricket. Liton Das has been included for the middle order despite recent form concerns, while pacers Shariful Islam and Nahid Rana have also been recalled.

Players left out from the recent West Indies series include Nurul Hasan Sohan, Zaker Ali Onik, Shamim Hossain Patowary, and Naim Ahmed. Hasan Mahmud and Vhanjim Hasan were not considered due to injury. Ankon, who made his ODI debut late last year, has retained his place in the squad.

Bangladesh will play Pakistan in a three-match ODI series from 9 March, with matches scheduled for 11, 13, and 15 March, all at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. All games will begin in the afternoon. BCB has set ticket prices ranging from 200 to 2,000 Taka.
