A man allegedly used an excavator to demolish the house of his expatriate son-in-law following a family dispute in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga.
The incident took place in Khejurtala village under Nagdah union.
According to locals, the dispute began after the expatriate, Rafiuddin, brought his first wife, Sonia Khatun, back to live with him. This reportedly led to tensions with the family of his second wife, Rima Khatun.
Rima’s father, Mukul Hossain, and several family members allegedly demolished Rafiuddin’s house using an excavator.
Alamdanga Police Station Officer-in-charge Bani Israyel said police are aware of the incident and legal action will be taken if a written complaint is filed.
