An unidentified man has died after a train hit him while he was walking along railway tracks in the Shambhuganj railway station area of Mymensingh on Sunday morning.
The incident took place around 10am when the Haor Express passenger train, which left Mohanganj in Netrokona in the morning, was heading towards Dhaka.
The train hit the man, aged around 50, leaving him dead on the spot, said Md Akhtar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Mymensingh Railway Police Station.
He said efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
