Pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau made a high-profile joint appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, offering a rare public glimpse of their relationship and drawing fresh attention at the global summit.
Perry appeared alongside Trudeau on January 20 as he took the stage, with cameras capturing moments that quickly spread across social media. In one widely shared clip, the singer smiles and winks in his direction, with Trudeau responding warmly. Other images showed the pair holding hands during the event, fuelling online discussion about their closeness.
The appearance followed recent speculation about a possible rift, which the Davos outing appeared to dispel. Fans reacted enthusiastically across platforms, describing the couple as affectionate and relaxed in each other’s company.
For the occasion, Perry opted for a pared-back look, stepping away from her usual bold style. She wore a neutral-toned knit cardigan with a matching midi skirt, striking a subdued note at the business-focused gathering.
Rumours of a romance between Perry and Trudeau first surfaced last summer, when they were seen together in Montreal. Their relationship later drew further attention after photographs emerged of the pair spending time together off the coast of California, followed by joint appearances during Perry’s international travels. The singer later confirmed the relationship on social media with images from a trip to Japan.
Perry’s relationship with Trudeau comes after her split from actor Orlando Bloom, which the former couple confirmed last year after a decade together. Trudeau announced his separation from his wife Sophie in 2023.
