Kamala Harris has claimed that Donald Trump was “pulled into” a war at the urging of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Harris alleged that Trump had initiated a conflict “the American people do not want” and had placed US troops in danger following pressure from the Israeli leader, reports Al Jazeera.
The former vice president, who lost the 2024 presidential election to Trump, made the remarks during a Democratic Party fundraiser held in Detroit on Saturday.
Netanyahu, however, rejected the accusation that he had influenced Washington’s decision. Addressing a news conference last month, he said, “Does anyone really think that someone can tell President Trump what to do?”
