A photo exhibition recalling the National July Charter signing ceremony has opened at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka.
The exhibition features a series of photographs depicting scenes from last year’s July-August movement.
According to the Chief Adviser’s press wing, the exhibition will continue for two days.
At around 5pm, Chief Adviser Yunus and representatives of political parties signed the July Charter at the South Plaza of the National Parliament.
Moments before the signing, clashes erupted in the South Plaza area between police and demonstrators identifying themselves as “July Warriors.”
During the confrontation, at least five police vehicles were vandalised, while temporary control rooms of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police were set on fire.
At least 10 police personnel were reported injured.
