President Mohammed Shahabuddin received the report of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission during a formal meeting at Bangabhaban on Thursday.
A delegation led by its chairman, Justice SM Emdadul Huq, who is a judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, presented the report to the President.
The report contains detailed recommendations concerning the salaries, allowances, and other benefits to be provided to members of the judicial service.
These recommendations are aimed at determining a structured compensation package for judicial officers to ensure the effective functioning of the service.
During the submission ceremony, other members of the commission were present alongside the Chairman.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials from the President’s Office, who witnessed the handover of the recommendations focused on the financial and professional well-being of the judiciary.
